About Wong Tai Sin Temple
Wong Tai Sin Temple brings together Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, with ornate shrines, pavilions and a garden; at Lunar New Year it is crowded with people offering incense and shaking fortune sticks, known as kau chim (HKTB). Temples are places of worship: speak quietly, ask before photographing people at prayer, and follow the signs for incense.
