About Man Mo Temple
The Man Mo Temple compound on Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, has three blocks, Man Mo Temple, Lit Shing Kung and Kung Sor, built between 1847 and 1862 (Tung Wah Group of Hospitals). The temple honours Man Cheong, the God of Literature, and Mo Tai, the God of War; it is a declared monument (HKTB). Temples are places of worship: speak quietly, ask before photographing people at prayer, and follow the signs for incense.
