Central is Hong Kong’s heart: Statue Square and the Mandarin Oriental, LANDMARK, IFC and the Star Ferry on the waterfront, and above Queen’s Road the steep old lanes of Tai Kwun, PMQ and Hollywood Road.
The waterfront
The Star Ferry, the Central Ferry Piers and the Maritime Museum line the harbour; IFC and the Four Seasons sit above Hong Kong Station.
The old lanes
Tai Kwun, PMQ and Gough Street are a short climb from Queen’s Road; Kau Kee and Yat Lok are on the way.
Walk uphill in the morning, eat in the lanes at lunch, and take the Star Ferry at dusk.
Our advice: stay at the Mandarin Oriental or the Four Seasons to have Central at your door.
